Salaried/Non-ExemptOn the one hand, you’re a dedicated partner to external press and news media, coordinating interviews, previews, and reviews to ensure that Paizo products get the recognition they deserve and the coverage we need to continue to thrive. On the other, you’re coordinating the day-to-day marketing functions behind the scenes, making sure marketing programs go off smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange & Coordinate Interviews: Manage relationships with tabletop RPG content creators to arrange reviews and interviews with Paizo staff around key releases for Pathfinder and Starfinder.
- Channel Strategy: Execute consumer, distributor, and retailer channel strategies to drive success in each channel. Your primary areas of responsibility includes the Paizo website content, with the addition of some blog, email, and social media content, including coordination of crowdfunding marketing and working with social media influencers on behalf of Paizo.
- Conventions: Attend select conventions on behalf of Paizo to engage with consumers across all of Paizo’s brands and monitor competitive activity.
- CRM: Work with the Marketing and Licencing Coordinator in developing emails that drive success across Paizo product lines and lifecycles. This includes occasionally writing, editing, and sending out for review emails through Dotdigital or similar email platforms.
- Earned Media Relations: Develop an earned media relations strategy for print, digital, broadcast, and other emerging channels.
- Execution of Marketing Plans: Work across business units to build innovative marketing plans that meet company goals and exceed customer expectations. This includes entry and management of tasks through Teamwork and similar software.
- Market Research: Work as a team to conduct astute market research to identify gaps in product, promotional, placement, and positioning strategies. Transform consumer insights into actionable plans that drive success in the business.
- Media & Advertising: Be engaged in the process of driving advertising and proving its effectiveness to the organization.
- Project Management: Drive business activity across departments through planning and managing the tasks necessary to achieve our business goals. Paizo uses Teamwork for this purpose, and self-training is available.
- Copywriting: Write concise and engaging copy for Paizo’s website, email, and social media. This includes metadata, landing page text, ad and promotional copy, etc.
- Press Releases: Write and distribute press releases for key products and announcements that accurately capture the key selling points of the product in an authentic tone that will be embraced by the gaming audience. Write and send out for review press release emails through dotdigital or similar email platforms.
- Reporting: Create reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations for the executive team and other departments.
- Reviewer Management: Identify and engage reviewers of Paizo products that have the reach to get the word out about upcoming and just-released products.
- Voice of the Customer: Represent the customer within Paizo to ensure the best experience for gamers.
- Misc.: Perform other duties as required.

- The job will require rapid adaptation to the large workload and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Conditions
Travel: Ability to travel away from home (domestic travel only) for up to two weeks at a time required. This is generally limited to major hobby conventions like GAMA, Gen Con, or PaizoCon.
Overtime: Job might require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on timing of conventions and promotional opportunities.
Performance Evaluations: Two per year in coordination with the Director of Marketing.

Education and/or Experience
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in an industry related to this job is required.

This position serves as the accounts receivable and payroll center for a publishing company with several product releases every month for a variety of genres and game over a large SKU list. The Bookkeeper will assist the accounting team in maintaining our financials and in process improvement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Invoice and track customer receivables, including distributor orders and large volume data imports.
- Interact with company-scale customers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Post and monitor customer payments and assist the Controller with collections and customer accounts.
- Perform primary payroll processing with staff backup, including reconciliations.
- Occasionally assist customer service In resolution of Individual customer billing Issues
- Continuously improve and formulate accounting procedures.
- Track and recognize deferred revenue.
- Assist in month-end financial close.
- Assist the controller with inventory tracking.
- Special projects and process improvement on an ad hoc basis.

Essential Job Skills
- Understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, Excel, and Word; familiarity with other ERPs a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, create and perform tests for software features and bug fixes
- Gather and review information and data related to upcoming software release requirements
- Test new features in our own tools and those of business partners
- Study data gathered during testing and evaluate the validity of the results
- Identify problems with new features, create guided steps for others to reliably reproduce them
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to minimize regressive behavior
- Familiarizing oneself with the workflow and internally developed tools of other departments to maximize software familiarity
- Create lists of deficiencies with new feature builds, repeatedly test new builds until no deficiencies can be identified
- Engage developers with technical explanations of issues, engage non-technical individuals with succinct summaries

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Testing Experience - 1 year+ (Required)
- Bug Documentation Experience - 6 months+ (Required)
- Proficiency in automation software - ie: Selenium IDE (Preferred)
